The Civil Clinic at Lane County Legal Aid and Advocacy Center provides legal services to low-income persons in civil legal matters.

The Civil Clinic is a course for third-year students at the University of Oregon School of Law. Students who enroll in the Clinic receive classroom instruction about civil practice and poverty law and represent Legal Aid clients in court and other legal matters. Clinic students are certified by the Oregon Supreme Court to represent clients in state court and state administrative proceedings.

A description of the Civil Clinic at Lane County Legal Aid and Advocacy Center. Third-year law students at the University of Oregon School of Law, under the supervision of clinic director Jim Kocher, represent Legal Aid clients in court cases and administrative hearings involving family, housing, consumer and benefits issues. The description includes the Clinic's structure, the training provided to participating law students, and the impact of the Clinic in the community.
